Brittany Carins
Brittany is a first year student at the Canadian College of Performing Arts. Over the years she has enjoyed performing with the Victoria Operatic Society, Haling Love productions, the Conservatory of music, Gayleen Reese Highland Dance Company as well as her High School Company. Some of her highlights have been making top 100 in Western Canada for CBC’s “Triple sensation”, being accepted into CCPA, winning Gold in Scotland for dance, playing Reno in Cole Porter’s “Anything Goes”, Velma in “Chicago” , Mayzie in “Seussical”, as well as a silly girl in the VOS production of “Beauty and the Beast”.

Dean Christy
Dean, a Victoria poet, is a founding member of Play With Your Food. He has appeared in many "off Broadway" shows. Most of them right here in Victoria. Dean originated the role of Maury Felony in an earlier incarnation of "Cement Shoes" but now prefers to be the Leprechaun with an attitude, Ryan OBrien. His other PWYF roles include Max in Hollywood SLEASE and Frederick Brown in The Yuletide Party Mystery. Dean has also performed with Four Seasons Musical Theatre, St Luke Players, Oak Bay Theatre Society and Peninsula Players. Starting a dinner theatre is tough and Dean thanks God for the strength and support he continues to receive from his friends and family, especially Lesley.

Lesley Christy
Lesley has performed with the Pacific Opera and with Four Seasons Musical Theatre. She enjoys not being "typed" in her performances and has played everything from a damned soul in "Wozzeck" to the nosey neighbour in "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". Since joining Play with your Food, Lesley has glammed up the stage as Vanessa in "Hollywood SLEASE", raised our sprits as Chastity in "Cement Shoes" and found herself as Arlene in "Murder at the Howard Johnson's".

Rob Cruse
It is about time that Rob joined the cast of Play with your Food. It seems he has worked with every other QUALITY production company on the south island, from Langham Court and VOS to the Peninsula Players and the Island Repertory Theatre. PWYF is thrilled to have an actor of Rob's stature as part of our regular troupe (and by stature we don't just mean waste size...but come to mention it..ok we won't) Besides theatre, Rob has also done TV and film. But its hard to beat being Lou the Peace Maker Cheesie (Cement Shoes) or Robert Scratchet (Dorothy gets Scrooged). Rob's directing talents flared up (we hope he has something for that) and he pulled together our summer 2006 show "Murder at the Howard Johnson's" dispite having to work with Dean, Lesley and Bill.

Stephanie Gill
Stephanie has appeared in three shows with Play with your Food. She joined the troupe in the fall of 2004, appearing first in "Hollywood SLEASE" followed by an "uplifting" performance as Sister Chastity in "Cement Shoes".Most recently she was the ever optimistic Debbie in "Channel 66". Stephanie Has been seen in many productions (other than PWYF) around Victoria. She has worked troupes such as the Victoria Operatic Society, where she will be performing at the MacPherson Playhouse in the VOS fall 2005 production of "Oklahoma", where she is cast as the female lead. When not on Stage Stephanie loves teaching at St Micheal's jr School. Through her hectic schedule of rehearsal, performance and school, Stephanie thanks Jon and her family for all their love and support.

Yanik Giroux
Yanik’s list of credits include performances for Chemainus Theatre, Oak Bay Beach Hotel, Butchart Gardens and Pacific Opera Victoria to name a few. Showbiz keeps him busy singing, acting, dancing, teaching and currently music directing shows for Play With Your Food. He performs with many theatre groups (beside us) and if you love him too, you can take voice or piano lessons from him and he will make you as fabulous as he is (well, we think he’s fabulous).

Phil Hallman
Phil has been playing with his food on and off for a couple of years. There was even one evening he played for us when a …”hockey game” broke out. Phil is an accomplished musical director. His recent musical director credits include VOS’s “Beauty and the Beast”, the upcoming “Westside Story” and plays with the Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra (honest there really is a Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra).

Emily Heayn
Emily is thrilled to join the company of Play With Your Food. She has been performing since a young age and has had starring or supporting roles with several theatre companies on Vancouver Island. Some of her favourite roles include: Gertie Cummins in Oklahoma and Follies Girl #9 in Crazy for You (VOS), Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret (Comax Valley Youth Music Centre), and La Mome Pistache in Can Can (Oak Bay Secondary School). Emily's first theatrical experience with Bill & Dean involved her playing a young, lovestruck boy with a braided rat-tail in the pantomime Aladdin. She hopes from now on she might get to try out her more feminine side. Emily is currently training at the Canadian College of Performing Arts and pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at UVic.

Bill Johnston
A native Victorian, Bill has been a member of the local theatre scene for over 30 years, working with many local theatre companies in various capacities: actor, director, choreographer, producer and writer. A founding member of Play With Your Food, Bill has scripted and directed: “Hollywood S.L.E.A.S.E”, “The Yuletide Party Mystery”, “Tea On A Hot Tin Roof”, “Channel 66” and “Dorothy Gets Scrooged”. As a performer Bill has performed in all the previously noted shows. However, Jacques in “Cement Shoes” has been his favorite role...so far.

Morgan Johnston
Morgan‘s first stage appearance was at age 3 and she has been performing non-stop ever since. She has been involved with the Oak Bay High Community Players in “Aladdin” and others. She also wowed audiences as Princess Bashki in Four Seasons “Monster’s Carnival”. Play with your Food Audiences will recognize her as: Shirley Poppins in “Hollywood SLEASE” , Mimi in “Cement Shoes”, Miss Charlotte in "Tea on a Hot Tin Roof" and Angela in “Channel 66”. Morgan originated the role of “Dorothy” in our Christmas production of “Dorothy Gets Scrooged”.

Maxine Sue Fisher
Maxine has appeared on CBC and has her own children's musical "Full of Beans". You may have heard her very recognizable voice on numerous radio voice overs. Her first role, With Play with your Food, was that of Vanessa Hepburn in Hollywood SLEASE and as for the future, well, Maxine has come to Victoria to "make it in the BIG time.

Jessica Natale:
Though new to Victoria, Jessica has quickly entered the city’s arts scene. Prior to playing Maggie with PWYF, she appeared with the Victoria Operatic Society as Babette in Beauty and the Beast and as Eva’s Sister/Chorus in Evita. Other roles include Tzeitle in Fiddler on the Roof and Glinda in Wizard of Oz in her native Sudbury, Ontario. Jessica also plays violin with the Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra, and she will be performing in a number of pit orchestras under the direction of Phil Hallman. Jessica thanks Bill for scoping her out and her friends, family, and boyfriend Stephen for their support as she tackles yet another role as a tramp, this time, one for the south: “Doo dah!” She has thoroughly enjoyed playing with your food every night.

Jeff Norton
Fresh from rehab, Jeff is thrilled that he is allowed to do his community work service with PWYF. Jeff has worked in theatre throughout Victoria Since joining Play with your Food Jeff has been threatening as Murry in "Cement Shoes" and Bubba in "Murder on a Hot Tin Roof", loveable as Donny in "Channel 66", and cuddly as the lion in "Dorothy gets Scrooged" but his greatest role to date has been loving husband to Sandi and proud dad to Samantha. Jeff hopes for world peace, and to be able to stop writing his bio in the third person.

Dennis Piedalue
Dennis has been involved for a number of years in the Victoria theatre community appearing in shows with Victoria Operatic Society, St. Luke's Players, Peninsula Players, Lambrick Park Church Dinner Theatre and at Langham Court. This opportunity to continue with PWYF as Dudley Ness, a cop, a Canadian cop, reunites him with his "My Three Angels" buddies Dean, Bill, and Rob as well as allowing him to relive the glory of performing with some of the best...or vice versa! (this is not to say that the ladies of the cast are not included among the best...dang this sensitive guy). His favourite roles, however, are that of life partner to Stacie and father to his two girls, Jenny & Chelsea and newborn son, Riley (told ya he was sensitive)

Pete Rothhauser. Pete is a rare breed of musician: he works and actually gets paid for it, and doesn't smoke it all away, if you know what we mean. He was born in New Zealand a long time ago but can't remember being there. Over the last couple of decades he's been involved with a metric ton (we're in Canada, eh) of community theatre, usually as the musical director and pianist. More recently, if you wanted to find him, you'd have had to be "crusing". As a member of the ships' orchestras, Pete's backed up The Platters, The Drifters, The Coasters, Bobby Arvon (the voice of the "Happy Days" theme song), plus countless other Vegas-style entertainers. He also shook hands with Joan Rivers once, but doubts that she'll recall that particular event. Pete likes to sit in the dark and eat cookies. More on Pete? www.sonatavocerecords.ca
Gloria Snider
Gloria says she has a lot more to tell you all, but we are still waiting for her update. Until then this is Gloria: Gloria is a regular on the Victoria Theatre scene and was an original partner in the first Play with your Food Theatre Co. She has been seen in V.O.S., Four Seasons Musical Theatre and Theatre Guild productions. Her diversity has been confirmed by such roles as Matron in Chicago, Mrs. Upson in Mame, Peggy in Godspell, Pirate Jenny in Threepenny Opera, Gloria Garbo in Hollywood SLEASE and Mimi in Cement Shoes. During the 2005 season Gloria has added Carlotta Love (Channel 66) and Elvira Gultch (Dorothy gets Scrooged).

Kevin Stinson
Kevin has appeared in over 20 Victoria productions since his theatrical debut in 1990. Audiences may remember him as Amos Hart in Chicago, Mick Flanagan in The Field, the Porter in MacBeth , the brutally funny innkeeper Feraillon in the classic Feydeau farce A Flea In Her Ear, and his acclaimed solo Fringe Festival performance as Polygraph in Heart of A Dog. As for Play with your Food, Kevin has shone through the roles of Maury and Lou in "Cement Shoes", Max in Hollywood S.L.E.A.S.E." and Big Daddy in his favourite role (with us) in "Tea on a Hot Tin Roof".

Jonathan Woodward
Jonathan was born and raised on the Island (this one), ever since he has been appearing on and off stage around Victoria for many years. Appearing in Hollywood SLEASE as the ever goofy George, Jonathan is pleased to carry dishes at the bidding of his masters. He is proud that he has yet to drop a plate, though he has slipped on broccoli.
