Play with your Food
is a privately owned semi professional theatre company.
The partnership, promotes and uses writers and talent
from the Greater Victoria area.
Play with your Food is privately funded. An independent
arts group dedicated to expanding the concept of "Cultural
Entrepreneurship". We believe individuals can build
a strong arts culture and a strong business, together.
Managing
Director: Dean Christy
Dean
is an accomplished business consultant, trainer and counsellor
with the Greater Victoria Economic Development Commission.
He has specialized in small business start-ups and merchandising
for more than twenty years. Along with being a founding
member and partner in Play with your Food, Dean has performed
with various theatre companies in Victoria.
Artistic
Director: Bill Johnston
Bill
has been part of the Victoria Theatre Community since
1967. His experience combined with his skills, knowledge
and abilities has given him an ideal background for management
of a theatre company. He performs, directs, writes, produces,
choreographs. In addition to sitting on the board of the
Victoria Operatic Society for five years, he has chaired
the Boards of the Oak Bay Community Theatre Society and
Four Seasons Musical Theatre Society. Bill is also one
of the founding members of the Play with your Food Theatre
Company.
